Freelance - Web Design and Development
My time as a freelance web designer and developer has been
spent building on my skills in dynamic website creation. My main focus
has been on using PHP and MySQL to develop web-based applications
such as e-shops and member registration services. On the client
side,
I've been putting CSS and JavaScript to good use, to accomplish
any necessary dynamic features in web pages.
Recently, I've been devoting a lot of time to re-vamping my own
website, to produce something which is hopefully clean and stylish,
whilst remaining informative and understandable. Many hours have been
spent creating pages containing strictly valid XHTML and CSS, which have
been tested to render well in 20+ different browsers.
Please visit my
Portfolio page
(http://jamesevans.net/portfolio.php) for descriptions of,
and links to some of the websites I've been involved in. Also
see my
Cross-Browser Testing page
(http://jamesevans.net/cross_browser_testing.php) for the results of various cross-browser and cross-platform
tests on this website.

Having completed my BSc Computing placement year with IT Services I was

third-line support for virtually all computer equipment owned
by Consignia within the 'Western

With this company I gained wide experience of NT4 Sever / Workstation, Windows
2000 Professional and Server, Windows 3.11, Windows 95, Microsoft Office and
other commonly used software packages.
